Haringey Community Link Forum (HCLF)

The Compact logo

Haringey Community Link Forum or HCLF provides the voluntary and community sector (VCS) with an opportunity to influence decisions on local policy and services. By getting involved in the HCLF, Haringey VCS organisations get the opportunity to have their say on issues such as homelessness, children and young people, health and wellbeing, enterprise etc that effect the everyday life of the communities we serve.

"We have the opportunity to raise concerns and speak directly with those that have a statutory responsibility to deliver services. We speak collectively on the things that matter to our community; so I encourage VCS organisations and local people to talk to us about their issues or concerns"
John Egbo
Director North London Partnership
Consortium, Standing Leadership Conference and Enterprise Partnership Board

What does the HCLF do?

  • Engage VCS representation at the strategic decision making levels
  • Influence local policy development and service provision
  • Galvanise the voice of the wider VCS in Haringey on key local developments
  • Raise awareness of key initiatives
  • Share information with the wider VCS
  • Increase inclusion of communities

The HCLF enables the VCS to respond to various government papers. It plays a significant role in making sure that the Councils commissioning processes are fair to all and most recently the HCLF collaborated and is putting together a Positioning Paper in response to budget cuts proposals from the Council.

In these difficult times, it is vital that you engage with us at the HCLF.

"In my new role I hope to be able to represent the views of the VCS as effectively as possible so as to influence the policies and plans that really impact on people's lives".

Maureen Galvin
Children's Trust Board Representative
